Finding an anniversary gift for a girlfriend is not that easy, especially, when she is not sentimental. Being sentimental doesn't mean that one is lacking sentiments. All it means is that one is more loyal to the mind than heart.
I love my girlfriend very much. She too loves me a lot but she don't like formal behavior as is often expected by everyone who are outside the circle of family and friends. This aspect worried me. So I was little anxious about choosing a gift for my girlfriend.
I roamed to most of the gift shops of the city including card galleries, museum gift showrooms, book stores and many other places where I could get the right kind of gift for my girlfriend a.k.a. lover. Sadly, I failed to decide which gift can bring laughter and then a smile on her innocent face. I surfed on several web sites in search of a good idea, but still my mind remained deserted. I could not find the most appropriate idea or thing.
Eventually I decided to create some thing of my own. But I was neither a good painter nor a good artist. I wasn’t a poet or a lyricist either which made me feel irritated about myself. For some time, I felt strongly that I was of no use. I doubted the purpose of my existence. But it was sure that the traditional gifts aren’t going to help me.
Ultimately, I decided the best thing to do was to present my girl friend something which she is seeking for a long time and yet didn’t have it due to lack of time. It was a spice rack.
When I gifted this shining wooden spice rack to her, she was mesmerized by this idea. She laughed with joy followed by a sweet silent smile. She too appreciated me of not gifting her jewelry which mos women love to be gifted with. That just proved my understanding that my love is true and rare so she deserved something truly out of the ordinary! My anniversary gift idea had definitely been the right one!
